ABOUT Brynn
Hi! My name is Brynn Zahariuk and I’m from the very small town of Flintoft, Saskatchewan. I lived there for 18 years with my four sisters, my mom and dad, and quite a few different animals. I went to school in another town about twenty minutes away that had less than 100 people from pre-kindergarten to grade 12. I feel very fortunate to have come from a small town and have the experiences I have had.
I currently live in Regina with my husband, Matt, and my two dogs, Koda (Alaskan Husky) and Sully (Labrador Retriever). I love spending time with them as well as drawing, painting, reading, and I've recently taught myself how to do my own gel nails.
My path to deciding to be a teacher was not a straight one. I wanted to be a teacher all throughout elementary but with the pressures of high school and seeing other people future plans, I changed my mind many times. After teaching swimming lessons for a couple years and doing my work placement in the grade two and three classroom at my school, that was when it really set in that I wanted to be a teacher. I love to help people and I love seeing the look on children’s faces when they finally understand something that they didn’t before. I feel like when you’re meant to do something, you’ll always end up doing it, no matter what happens in your life to get there.
Education:
I graduated from a very small school called Glentworth Central School where I was fortunate to have so many inspiring teachers to look up to. I am currently studying at the University of Regina, where I am in the process of getting my Bachelor of Secondary Education with a major in Biology and minor in General Science. I am so looking forward to becoming a teacher.
